Sarah is a solicitor with over 20 years of experience in residential conveyancing and joined Biscoes in 2018. Sarah is based in our Portsmouth office but has previously worked in our Portchester office and can meet with clients there by appointment.

Sarah can advise on:

Freehold and Leasehold Sales and Purchases

Carrying out all aspects of the conveyancing process such as on a sale, redeeming mortgages, dealing with enquiries raised by buyers’ solicitors, and liaising with landlords/managing agents to obtain necessary information when the property is leasehold.  On a purchase, the process includes raising enquiries, advising and reporting on search results, dealing with mortgage offers and liaising with lenders, advising and reporting on leases and title issues and registering the property at the Land Registry.

New Build Purchases

Carrying out all aspects of the conveyancing process, raising specific new build enquiries, dealing with mortgage offers and Help to Buy ISAs, advising and reporting to clients on all the information regarding the property and development and registering the property at the Land Registry.

Remortgages and Transfers of Equity

This includes reporting on mortgage offers, redeeming existing mortgages and drawing down the mortgage funds and registering the new mortgage against the property at the Land Registry and/or transferring the property into the required names if a transfer of equity.

Equity Release

Meeting with clients to advise on the equity release mortgage offer, liaising with the lender’s solicitors and dealing with any Mortgage conditions. 

Declarations of Trust

For joint owners wishing to document their share in the property and how the property should be dealt with in the unfortunate event of a split.

First Registrations

Applying to the Land Registry to register a property for the first time including where title deeds are lost.
